Dr Mike Asbury (Non-Executive Chairman) The non-executive Chairman Mike Asbury, is medically qualified and has held numerous general management and marketing positions in the pharmaceutical industry since the early 1980's. Mike was the International Marketing Director at Zeneca Pharmaceuticals and Vice-President of Global Licensing at AstraZeneca. He has extensive knowledge of the development and marketing of ethical pharmaceuticals and all forms of deal-making in the pharmaceutical industry. John Lyon (Director) The CEO, John Lyon, has a track record in growing commercial life science businesses and in particular, strong experience in managing the drug development process. John Lyon held the position of Global Vice President within a publicly quoted NYSE Company and was the Managing Director of their world renowned clinic in Leeds, UK, through which many approved medicines have been developed. John Lyon is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants (Price Waterhouse), a Fellow of the Securities Institute, a Fellow of the Institute of Clinical Research and a qualified Clinical Biochemist, having trained at St George's Hospital and St Mary's Hospital in London. Prof. Stanley Brown (Director) The CSO, Stan Brown, is also the Chair of Biochemistry and Director of the Centre of Photobiology and Photodynamic Therapy at the University of Leeds, UK. Stan is one of the global leaders in PDT and has published around 200 research papers and four books. He has given many invited lectures on PDT in oncology and antimicrobial therapy around the world. Stan was Pro-Vice Chancellor of the University of Leeds 1993-96, President of the European Society for Photobiology 1999-2001 and a non-executive director of Yorkshire Regional Health Authority. Prof. David Holdcroft (Non-Executive Director) The Non-executive director, David Holdcroft, was Pro Vice-Chancellor for Research at the University of Leeds from 1991-6. He was a director of University of Leeds Innovations, which managed the University's spin offs, from 1991 to 1998. He is a trustee of Yorkshire Cancer Research and Chairman of its Compliance Committee. Dr. Ian Wilding (Non-Executive Director) Dr Wilding, who is MBS' Chief Scientific Officer, was one of the founders of Pharmaceutical Profiles, a successful spin-out company from Nottingham University. Prior to an MBO in January 2005, Ian had served as the Chief Executive and Chairman of Pharmaceutical Profiles, specialising in early phase clinical trials for over 15 years. Dr. Sam Williams (Non-Executive Director) Dr Williams is Chief Executive Officer of the drug development company, Modern Biosciences plc ("MBS"). He joined MBS in April from Lehman Brothers where he was Industry Group Leader for European Pharmaceuticals and Chemicals. Sam was ranked the number one European Biotechnology equity analyst by Institutional Investor magazine in 2004, 2005 and 2006 and by Thomson Extel in 2004 and 2005.
