Dr. William Eaglstein
William Eaglstein is currently Vice President, Pipeline Development and Scientific Affairs of Stiefel Laboratories, Inc., and Chairman Emeritus, University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. After his retirement from the University of Miami in 2003, he became President of IVAX Dermatologicals, Inc. (formerly Baker-Cummins), where he brought three novel dermatologic products to market in two years. He was involved in every aspect of the business from licensing, formulation and production to labeling, packaging, distribution and marketing. He trained a 260-person sales force and worked closely with legal and regulatory consultants to develop the regulatory basis for marketing a dietary supplement and a combination DESI drug. During this time he also led the continued development of a novel, topical anti-inflammatory drug, successfully obtaining FDA approval for phase III testing.

From 1986 to 2004 he was Professor and Harvey Blank Chairman of the Department of Dermatology & Cutaneous Surgery at the University of Miami, School of Medicine. Prior to that, from 1980 to 1986, he was Professor and Chairman of the Department of Dermatology at the University of Pittsburgh. Under his guidance, the Department of Dermatology at the University of Miami developed the largest dermatology residency program and the largest in-patient dermatology service in the United States. He holds the academic title of Chairman Emeritus at the University of Miami.

Prof. Keith Harding
Keith Harding has had a long standing interest in wound healing. He has undergone training in both general surgery and general practice. He was appointed as the first Director of the Wound Healing Research Unit in 1991. From 2002 - 2005 he was Head of the University Department of Surgery and currently is Head of the Department of Wound Healing, School of Medicine, Cardiff University and Clinical Director of Wound Healing in the Cardiff & Vale NHS Trust. He is also Director of Innovation and Engagement (Third Mission) in the School of Medicine. His clinical practice is exclusively focused on treating patients with wound healing problems with a wide range of aetiologies. He has authored over 300 publications in the field of wound healing and has written a number of chapters and books in this area including the ABC of Wound Healing published in the British Medical Journal in 2006. He is the Editor-in-Chief of the International Wound Journal published by Blackwell. He was the First President of the European Pressure Ulcer Advisory Panel, First Recorder of the European Wound Management Association and is a Past President of the European Tissue Repair Society. He was Chair of the Expert Working Group that produced the World Union of Wound Healing Societies Consensus Document on minimising pain at wound dressing related procedures and Chair of the International Working Group on Wound Healing in Diabetic Foot Disease. He has obtained funding of over £20 million from a range of academic, commercial and clinical sources since the Wound Healing Research Unit was created in 1991.

Dr. Susan Morley
Susan Morley is a Consultant Dermatologist, Honorary Senior Lecturer and Clinical Research Scientist at the University of Dundee. She has extensive experience in Clinical Dermatology and is a renowned expert in the treatment of chronic wounds. Her research interest centres on the biology of keratinocytes and their role in wound healing, inherited skin fragility and skin cancer. She has had several industrial funding grants and has written many peer reviewed papers.

Prof. Alan Suggett
With an extensive experience of operating at the interface between science and business, Alan Suggett recently retired from his long standing role of Technology Director at Smith & Nephew plc. He is now acting in a consultative capacity, and in addition to chairing the Scientific Advisory Boards at Photopharmica and Smith & Nephew, he is also Chairman of the Medical Devices Faraday Partnership.

Prof. Mark Wilcox
Mark Wilcox is a Consultant at the Leeds General Infirmary, Professor of Medical Microbiology at the University of Leeds, and is Head of Microbiology, Clinical Director of Pathology and Director of Infection Prevention and Control for The Leeds Teaching Hospitals. He was the Scientific Chairman of the 2002 Hospital Infection Society International Conference and is a former Secretary of the Hospital Infection Society and Assistant Editor of the Journal of Antimicrobial Chemotherapy. He is an advisor to the UK Healthcare Commission, the Department of Health and the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency on infection control issues. His research projects include several areas of hospital infection, in particular Clostridium difficile infection, and intravascular catheter related sepsis, and the clinical development of new antimicrobial agents.
