 Conferences - 2008October 2008 Professor Stan Brown attended the 7th International Symposium on Photodynamic Therapy and Photodiagnosis in Clinical Practice held in Brixen/Bressanone, Italy from 7th – 10th October. This is one of the foremost international conferences on photodynamic therapy and is held every two years. Professor Brown presented a plenary lecture entitled ‘Recent Developments in Clinical Applications of PDT in Oncological and Non-Oncological Fields’ and also presented the Company’s Phase IIa results in a lecture entitled ‘Phase II Antimicrobial PDT Studies in Chronic Leg Ulcers and Chronic Diabetic Foot Ulcers’. September 2008 Dr Kirste Mellish attended the 17th Congress of the European Association for Dermatology and Venereology in Paris in September. A special symposium was devoted to photodynamic therapy in which she presented the Company’s Phase IIa data in one of the key lectures entitled ‘Promotion of Wound Healing by Photodynamic Therapy: a Phase II, Randomised, Placebo-Controlled Trial in Chronic Leg and Diabetic Foot Ulcers’ June 2008 Photopharmica presented data from their Phase II randomised, controlled study at the Third Congress of the World Union of Wound Healing Societies in Toronto in June 2008.
